Set your Reviews Widget header from a selection of styles. You can choose from three header layouts to fit your store's design. In this article, we will cover the 3 different layout options, the ratings distribution dropdown window, and the widget’s sorting options.
Header layouts
Adjust the way the Reviews Widget displays your products’ average ratings by selecting one of the three different header layouts.
To change your Widget’s header layout:
- Inside your Loox admin, go to Widgets > Reviews Widget > Customize.
- Open the Layout settings and select a header layout option.
Note: By default, the Widget’s header is set to the “Minimal” layout option.
The available layouts are:
Minimal layout: clean, star-only
Compact Layout: Small with ratings
Expanded: Large with details
Ratings distribution
Display a chart showing how many customers reviewed your products from 1 to 5, as well as each product’s average rating.
Enabling the "Show ratings distribution" option allows your customers to view this breakdown through the widget's header.
To show your products’ ratings distribution:
- In your Loox admin, go to Widgets > Reviews Widget > Customize.
- Once the live editor opens, head into Preferences.
- Toggle “Show ratings distribution” on.
Once enabled, your customers can filter the reviews displayed on the Reviews Widget based on rating.
Sorting options
By default, the Reviews Widget displays your customer reviews in chronological order while prioritizing photo and video reviews first.
We support 4 different sorting options for the Reviews Widget, providing different options to how your reviews are ordered.
The sorting options are:
- Featured - Displays your reviews in chronological order placing photo and video reviews first.
- Newest - Displays reviews in chronological order, regardless of photo/video.
- Highest Ratings - Displays reviews based on the rating, from highest to lowest. 5-stars reviews will appear first, then 4-stars, etc.
- Lowest Ratings - Displays reviews based on the rating, from lowest to highest. 1-star reviews will appear first, then 2-stars, etc.
